Join us on the 27th October

In just under 3 week’s time, on Thursday 27th October, we commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act. Since then 10 million preborn children have been legally aborted in the UK. 10 million too many! As some of you will remember, March for Life UK has previously hosted a solemn public witness to mark this date. This year we will be in Parliament Square on 27th Oct from 12.30 – 2pm and we’d love you to join us.

There’s no need to register, just come along and here’s what you need to know:

  • Wear black or as dark clothes as possible.
  • Bring an umbrella/waterproofs in case of showers (but pray for sunshine).
  • DON’T bring any posters/banners with you as we’ll be supplying them.
  • If you’d be willing to hold a banner/posters let us know beforehand.
  • If you are attending and have an interesting pro-life story to share, then let us know beforehand and we can look at including you in our live video on the day (to speak to the camera – not on a stage etc). See below for ideas.

You might think you don’t have a pro-life story but have a check as any of these ideas could be interesting to others:

Have you started or been part of a pro-life group and faced challenges because of this ie a pro-life uni group? What did your friends/family say?
Have you helped a friend, family member or work colleague to re-think abortion? Could you offer tips to others?
Have you had an abortion which you regretted? (remember you need healing for yourself first before sharing a story like this).
Have you ever considered abortion, maybe even booked yourself one or obtained abortion pills but never took them?
Did your parents consider abortion for you? (again remember you might need healing first before sharing a story like this).
Did you have an unexpected/unplanned pregnancy that you would like to talk about?
Was your child diagnosed with a life-limiting condition or a disability/downs?
Were you a teen mum – did anyone suggest abortion to you?
Has someone close to you considered abortion or had a child in difficult circumstances which has affected you in a positive way?
Have you ever performed abortions or worked for an abortion provider? (again, you may need healing first before sharing this publicly)
Have you got a disability – how does this make you feel about the abortion law which allows abortion up to birth for disabilities?
Were you once in support of abortion? What made you change your mind?
Are you a health professional who has seen the effects of abortion on others (obviously not giving away personal information)?

If you are attending on 27th and can talk about one of these points or anything else which is connected to pro-life issue on abortion then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to be a professional speaker – it might be something you can speak on for just half a minute – we can ask you questions to make it easier but your words could be just what someone else needs to hear so don’t let fear hold you back. Drop us an email or call/text Isabel on 07773 501721

We look forward to seeing you there.
